A responsive assessment model for mitigating endemic knowledge gap in educational training

Learning outcome measures the quality of knowledge a student possesses after completion an academic programme. For successful attainment this feat, it is necessary to periodically engage in assessment exercises measure expected learning before students’ However, observed that not case for institutions higher Nigeria. The traditional method pen and paper only inadequate but no longer tenable information Communication Technology (ICT) era. To address these inadequacies, proposes Responsive Student Assessment System (RSAS) mitigate endemic gap between actual knowledge. RSAS addresses from both teacher’s perspectives. It engages three (3) modes; diagnostic assessment, formative summative assessment. Diagnostic performed at beginning semester, middle or during ongoing end towards semester. arms teacher with performances who thereafter advises as whether should proceed next class repeat just concluded class. was test-run number students staff using performance perspective analysis, one Results show remarkable improvement student's performances, subsequently, analysis reveals high level acceptance RSAS.
